Offering adults and youth a safe space for healing and recovery
Your kids say hurtful things...
Your partner is distant…
Your energy is gone and your anxiety is high…
You constantly force yourself to smile, saying you are “fine” when you really are not. Emotionally, you are spent. You experience feelings of fear, obligation, and guilt (FOG). Constant struggles weigh you down, leaving you exhausted and worried.
You are losing strength and your voice carries pain. Your relationships are suffering, especially the one you have with yourself. You know this isn’t the life you dreamt of…
So, are you ready for healing and recovery?
What is Hypnosis
& Hypnotherapy?
As a 5-PATH (R) IAHP Certified Hypnosis Professional I use a systematic approach in which positive guidance and suggestions are stated, designed to penetrate the subconscious mind. Hypnosis is a powerful state of focused awareness.
It is used to uncover and dissolve the root cause(s) of many common mental and physical issues visible today. Hypnosis aims to help people change their beliefs and habits in order to optimize daily life, restoring vitality and vibrancy. Hypnosis allows access to all the healing resources inherent within the subconscious mind, promoting natural healing from within.
Hypnosis is used to help people discover the subconscious reasons for their symptoms, behaviors, or habits. When they are discovered, certain tools and techniques are used to help release them and re-learn a new positive way of thinking.
Hypnosis is used in real life to help real people with worry, depression, gastrointestinal disorders, weight loss, trauma, and other mind and body concerns. Hypnosis has been sanctioned and used by the medical community since 1958 to help patients overcome chronic pain, create anesthesia, and heal psychogenic illnesses. Hypnosis and hypnotherapy is a viable and reliable component of basic health care.
Sessions are conducted virtually.

What is Emotional Recovery Coaching?
Michon utilizes a proprietary NeuroSync Regulating System built into a 9-step program which explores the whole you - mind, body, and soul. The NeuroSync system targets the emotional connection linked to distressing/negative events. Michon knows that the WHOLE is made up of PARTS and by exploring the parts we can understand the whole.
Science research has confirmed the mind/body connection within us. During coaching sessions we engage in practices which help you survey your internal environment and how that links to your physical being and sense, as well as examining how the physical body manifests thoughts, beliefs, and habits.
When we listen to and investigate the mind/body connection and the story it is telling, we learn where pain, false ideas, and destructive behaviors hold us back. Knowing more of our truths allows us room for healing and recovery.
Did you know that trauma gets trapped in the body? This leads to emotional, behavioral, and physical symptoms. The practices I utilize in the coaching experience allow you access to information about how your body holds your experiences.
The goal of emotional recovery coaching is to help you notice, manage, and mitigate the physical responses brought up by distressing experiences, memories, and emotions.

FAQs

Hypnosis works by achieving a level of focused awareness, and at the same time bypassing the analytical aspect of the mind. Another way to describe the analytical aspect of the mind is that it is a comparing mechanism. When new information is introduced to the mind, the comparing mechanism compares the new information to what it already believed. This serves as a protective feature of our mind.
Changing habits using willpower alone is so difficult. Hypnosis, as a tool for change, is powerful because the analytical aspect of the mind is bypassed, and new, healthy and beneficial suggestions are made directly to the subconscious mind without the comparing mechanism rejecting these new beliefs. The change we want to achieve in our life is accepted by the subconscious mind as true and we see results quickly.
-
YES, hypnosis is safe! In fact, it’s very safe. Did you know that you naturally move in and out of hypnotic states regularly? This occurs during daydreaming, watching a good movie, or reading a book. These common experiences allow you to focus on one stimulus and bypass other surrounding events. In hypnosis you remain consciously aware of the hypnotic process, suggestions, and sensations. You are in complete control the entire duration of every session.
-
Hypnotherapy is the applied use of hypnosis. Hypnosis is used to help people discover the subconscious reasons for their symptoms, behaviors, or habits. When they are discovered, certain tools and techniques are used to help release them and re-learn a new positive way of thinking, subconsciously. This is called hypnotherapy.
-
Yes of course! You've already been hypnotized anytime you watched an engaging movie or read a good book. Hypnosis is a normal and natural state of mind that everyone experiences daily. Actually, it's such a normal state of mind that most people don't realize they have experienced hypnotism. As your hypnotist, I will guide you into a state of hypnosis. All you need to do is willing accept and follow gentle instructions.

Coaching services draw upon the field of Somatics. This is the practice of exploring the mind/body connection. These practices help survey your internal self and listen to body signals about pain, discomfort, or imbalance. Somatic work is based on the principle that trauma gets trapped in the body leading to emotional, behavioral, and physical symptoms. Somatic healing modalities allow you to access information about how your body stores past experiences.
-
Through guided conversation, clients explore their physical sensations generated by the nervous system. It is a bottom-up approach, starting with bodily sensations, and then evaluating those sensations intellectually. Ideas are shared by the client and I ask leading questions to help find meaning and connection.
Somatics follows a systematic approach to discovery:
Sensation: Clients may not be aware of nor used to giving attention to their bodily sensations. They may not have previously realized how those sensations are linked with emotions. Clients begin with simply noting what feelings are present in their body.
Imagery: This part of the framework uses guided imagery (where the coach orally leads the client through imagining a scene) or interactive guided imagery. The latter is an ongoing conversation between client and coach where the client shares what’s coming up as they are being led through this exercise.
Behavior: While much of this work consists of clients reporting their internal experiences, the behavior part of Dr. Peter Levine's Somatic model involves the coach observing the client’s behavioral responses, such as body language or posture.
Affect: This is how clients display their emotions to the outside world, such as word choices, tone, and speed of communication.
Meaning: Finally, this part of the model looks at how clients perceive their experience and what those experiences mean to them.
This approach allows the client to be reflective of their state of being, thus giving them greater awareness and control of their internal environment.
-
First, I do a pre-screening interview to learn about the client’s presenting issue. I answer questions about their expectations. I then ask questions centered around assessing how the client’s mind and body are responding to their trauma and stress.
Coaching utilizes my 9-step program which targets different and unique elements of the self.
Because trauma creates mind/body interference, it is essential to learn how to reestablish connection back to the parts of the self and then to the whole.
This is practiced in the safety of virtual interaction. The goal is to grow in inner wisdom by letting the mind and body tell its story so that the past isn’t repeated.
Once learned, clients will be able to self-regulate more easily on their own.
-
Sessions are held virtually, using Zoom technology. The client sets themselves up in a quiet private space using a computer, laptop or tablet. Headphones or earbuds are ideal. The hypnotist has a similar setup. A Zoom video link is provided to the client.
